There is a really cool sales widget out there called “slide share“. You upload power point presentations and this program loops the presentation on your sales blog. I have one on my “linked in” page and have seen them on a number other sales blogs. Its a great way to grab people’s attention. Think about it… How many sales presentations do you have sitting on your computer? Dress it up and throw it up on your sales blog or your personal blog as well. I haven’t had the chance to take a look my counts yet to see how many times the presentation was viewed but i’m sure its an effective tool. There are some other cool social media tools as well. For example I am able to feed by sales blog to my twitter account so people who are following me are able to see my thoughts. With social media I am able to get tons of exposure that I wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise.
Another thing I do is use my sales presentations to make videos. I’ll use the widows movie maker on my computer and add a voice over to a sales presentation and put it on my sales blog. This is a cheap and fast way to get something up online. There is also video capturing software that enables you to do this as well.
As times are tough we as sales people have to use everything at our disposal to leverage potential clients and maximize our lead potential. Social media is a great way to get out there and position yourself as a creditable industry expert.
